Trail Stewardship Opportunities
We believe that users of trails have an important stewardship for the trails they use. In the Cedar Valley and Lake Mountain areas, we have some amazing trail opportunities, generously provided by private owners, Federal and State agencies, and local cities. By partnering with them in productive ways, we can expand our opportunities, preserve our trails, and improve their quality. Our vision is to help our area become a world-class destination for trail users.
Trail Maintenance
We work with our local trails association, the Lake Mountain Trails Association to work on new and existing trails.
Trail Etiquette
We teach trail etiquette to all our club members through our programs and specific trainings.
Trail Advocacy
It's important that we use our voice to support the building, maintenance, and improvement of our local trails. These trails add so much economic and quality of life opportunities for our communities and even our region. We actively work with local corporations, agencies, cities, and other groups to advocate for positive development and management of trails.
Our Stance on Trails
Trails require someone to envision them, build, and maintain them. Many of our trails were lovingly built over the years by volunteers who love to ride and build trails. We're grateful for their massive contribution of time, effort, and money. We also want to continue building trails in our area and create a place to ride that rivals any in the country. To be able to do this, we have to work with cities, counties, the State, and land managers/owners to design, build, sign, and maintain our trails.
There will be many trail building opportunities now and into the future. These will be specific, official, and sanctioned projects. We'll let you know when they are and would love to have your involvement. There will be a lot of opportunities for this in the next 5 years, as we continue to plan and design new trails throughout the area in conjunction with the city, BLM, SITLA, and other land owners/managers.
