Want an amazing experience?! Get involved with the club!
There is just something special about volunteering your time to something awesome - and people on bikes are awesome. And you don't have to be a bike rider yourself (or any good at it) - you just need to care about providing a great experience to those in the club. Whether that is through our racing activities, our community events, programs for kids, or our teams. We have a lot of ways you can get involved, and we'd love to have you. Here is a list of ways we could use you:
COACHES
For our teams and programs, we need coaches who know how to ride bikes and can help guide our riders during practices, teach on the bike skills, and encourage riders to be better. If you have some ability and would like to be involved, please let us know. We will provide training as well, so you can know how to coach, and we'll fit you to the right groups to ensure you have a great experience as well.
RIDE LEADERS
All of our teams and programs need additional adults to ride with/be with the classes and practices in order to function. Ride leaders are some of the most valuable volunteers we have and it would be almost impossible to have too many of them involved. You don't have to be a great rider (you can be a beginner too), to be a great ride leader. We have places for all level of riders.
FUNDRAISING
For any non-profit, fundraising is the lifeblood of the organization. It is what enables us to provide the services that lead to the desired valuable outcomes we envision for our community and members. That might be through finding sponsors or organizing and managing fundraisers, to grant writing. If you have interest in helping us do this important activity, please come join us!
SOCIAL MEDIA
The world is social and we need to be able to share our experience on social media - whether that is for helping promote/thanks sponsors, to helping family and friends share in the awesome things we do, and building relationships in the community. We'd love your help making great posts, doing promotions and contests, and more.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY
A big part of the experience is capturing it on video and in photos. We use media to celebrate, to recruit, to promote sponsors, to educate/train, and to do public relations in the community. It's hard to beat a great photo or video when trying to tell the story of what we do.
MERCHANDISE MANAGER
The club and associated programs and teams have merchandise that we use to show off our club - from t-shirts to hats to socks, and more. Sourcing these, making sure we advertise and sell them appropriately, and then deliver as needed, is an important job and we'd love someone to help us build a great merchandise program. This will help us look and feel great, and raise money.
BIKE MAINTENANCE
We could always use people who know how to fix and maintain bikes. For races, practices, and other times, having someone who can help change tires, adjust a derailleur, and more, is invaluable.
TRAILWORK
We do trailwork through our local trail associations. If you are interested in helping build, repair, and maintain trails, we'd love it. We could use people picking up trash, doing trail condition checks, trail inventory (for our community trail map), and more.
FOOD
When we race, do events, or have practices, there is usually food involved of some kind. From recovery to lunches, and even just fun activities, we'd love to have someone help us source and prepare and serve food for us!
BUILDERS
Are you good at building things? We need to build some obstacles and other wooden features and training apparatuses to help us train skills and improve our trails. We'd love your skills to help us with this.
